Thank You CrossFit Clackamas – Paleo Talk Seminar Fun!

Thank you so much to Jason and Kris of CrossFit Clackamas for hosting Chrissy and I last weekend for our 2nd Paleo Talk Seminar. We had such a wonderful time getting to know you all and the day went by too quickly!  If you are still wondering if you would like to sign up for our next seminar being held on June 26th in Wildomar, CA, check out what folks had to say about our most recent event:

From Deb: “First I wanted to thank you for sharing your story with us. Comforting to know we are traveling through this wonderful journey together. I have already tried three recipes from your book and now creating my own too! (this is fun!). I appreciated how you and Chrissy covered so much more then I had expected. (I loved every bit of it!). Before I knew of Paleo or Crossfit, I was pretty sick and no matter how many doctors I went to, I never got well, let alone healthy. I am sold on Paleo for ever, not only did I get well, I got really, really, healthy (by any standard).  Attending your Seminar gave me more tools and perspective on the life style that I now live and love! No one believes I am in my fifties and can back squat 190lbs or dead-lift 225lbs (I must say, I enjoy watching their face when I tell them). The sense of empowerment and strength fuels the rest of my life and just like you and Chrissy said, makes a much better person. I can’t think of a thing to change..and I hope you both come back and see us soon.”

From Laura: “Thank you Sarah and Chrissy!  It was so worth it staying up all day to hear you speak!  I learned so much and you covered what I expected and more!  I look forward to your future blogs, podcasts, and books.  Chrissy, I need a guide for when I get pregnant in the next year or two =) Thank you for visiting us!”  (Laura came straight from working all night and toughed it out just for us, I’m so glad we kept you awake Laura!)

From Earl: “You gals did a great job in sharing your stories and doing the seminar.  Thanks for all of your insights!  Keep up the good work!”

Enjoy!!

  1. It was a great day! Thanks for sharing your stories and helping everyone be better prepared to adopt a Paleo lifestyle for themselves and their families. Next time we’re coming down to Chico to see you two!

Folks, if you have a chance to attend a Paleo Talk seminar, do it! Rest assured you will not be disappointed.

I could not have asked for a better day in our gym. In fact, I’m hesitant to schedule any other seminars because I’m afraid I will be disappointed. Sarah and Chrissy are offering knowledge and experience that most of us coaches just don’t have. The format was great, the info was amazing, and I would have gladly repeated the whole thing the next day and any day since.

Thank you so much, Sarah and Chrissy! We are very grateful and hope to see you again soon.

The seminar was great! I learned a lot of new information but also had a lot of information confirmed…sometimes it’s good to hear over and over and from new people to get a new perspective or better grasp on the topic. for instance… down to what you said regarding a reply when someone asks what diet we are on? or what is paleo? responding with “i don’t eat processed foods” has already proven to be a much easier reply then digging deep into it… i just do it, but sometimes have a hard time explaining all the science behind it. I loved all the information on paleo pregnancy and incorporating paleo with your children and family. I don’t have children yet… but soon =) …. and am excited that i will go into my pregnancies knowing how to apply this lifestyle to stay and healthy and active. I also enjoyed hearing about your personal stories in regards to paleo eating and felt in some ways we had some similarities, it was comforting to know that it gets easier as it becomes a lifestyle not a diet, as i have struggled for years with my weight and in finding the right “diet” I originally started all this for weight loss and weight loss only… but i can’t say enough good things about the way i feel overall since going strict Paleo in January. Finally, the one “diet” i haven’t fallen off of and don’t in anyway feel deprived… this is especially true now that I have your book, I have no excuse to ever eat boring diet food! I love your book, everything i have made has been a big hit even with non-paleo friends and family! The food demonstration and tasting was also excellent! I would definitely go again if you gals make it back to Oregon!! Thank you so much! I would recommend that if anyone have the opportunity to go to a Paleo Talk Seminar… DO IT!! It is time and money well spent!!

Just signed up last night at my local Crossfit gym. I am so excited to start! Its a women only one. It will be so nice to be part of a Paleo community. 🙂

    1. JasonS says:

Awesome that you found another Paleo CrossFit gym, Sarah, but don’t make the assumption that CrossFit means Paleo. CrossFit HQ actually promotes the Zone Diet for some reason nobody will ever understand. People like Sarah and Robb Wolf (and many more) are go-to sources of information on all things paleo, but at this point there isn’t really a consistent link to one specific fitness organization.
