Video Recap of Bologna Cooking School

Here’s a quick video recap of my experience at Bologna Cooking School with Big Carlo!  I owe a huge amount of gratitude to Carlo, Luciana, and Gabriela for welcoming us and accommodating our requests for a personalized gluten free cooking lesson as well as Carlo’s permission to use and tweak his recipes to make them paleo.

We are currently spending the week in the beautiful Marche region of Italy where I have been continuing my culinary exploration of Italy. More stories, pictures and videos coming soon so please stay tuned!

I hope you enjoy!

I love, love, love your blog! It was the first one that I came to when our family decided to start our Paleo journey this summer. It has been so helpful and all of the recipes have been delicious. I just caught up on your new blog posts about your Italian adventures! What an amazing and wonderful experience for your family! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Don’t know what’s up, but I just tried to watch the new video and it says, “This video is private.” 🙁 Hope it’s fixed soon, I can’t wait to watch!

Buon compleanno i tanti auguri per Rowan & Jaden!

Hi Sarah – celebrating paleo birthdays abroad, best to buy or bake?  For my little guy’s bday last year in St. Martin, I packed a baking mix from White Lion Company (absolutely delicious), but it was challenging to deal with an unfamiliar oven and limited bakeware.  Also, since you are cooking your way through Italy, I’d really like to know if and how you are traveling with your knives, or any of our other essential kitchen tools. Ciao Bella and grazie mille!!!!

    1. Today is Rowan’s birthday and we found a gluten free baking mix at the Iper Grande. Not paleo but at least gluten free and we can have some sort of cake! We are staying this week at Italy Farm Stay near Sora where I’ll be cooking and they have agreed to help me bake the cake since I can not read the instructions. : )

All that I brought with me on the trip is my knives which I haven’t even had to use, everyone has been so gracious and wanting me to use their equipement. It’s all been so wonderful!
