Thank you for being open minded about SSRI’s. I was in a similar position. I knew, theoretically, that if I just ate right and got to the gym regularly I would feel a million times better, but all the knowledge in the world couldn’t help me get out of bed. Medication helped me get out of the dark hole and back into the light and start to have the willpower to make more positive choices.

I would also suggest to the person who wrote in with the gut issues – get a colonoscopy. I went through trying to heal my own gut for months and nothing worked. Some things seemed to improve it like adding goat milk kefir. But the colonoscopy revealed a tumor and come to find out it was colon cancer. I never thought it could be that since no one in the family had cancer and I thought I was generally healthy. So definitely worth getting that checked out and at least ruling that out as a possibility.
