    Hi Sarah,

I’ve been doing the CrossFit/Paleo lifestyle now for about a month, and am loving every second of it, especially CF! However, I have struggled with easy, nutritous, Paleo meals that I can take on the go. My career is time-consuming and my biggest struggle/obstacle was quick meals I can make when I don’t get home until late, or something I can grab for breakfast on the way to the train after my CF workout. Thanks to your blog I now have so many ideas I’m working with, and am so excited to know that I can actually truly accomplish the Paelo aspect of my brand new lifestyle without sacrificing taste or variety!

I read all of your blogs yesterday (except for the ones involving seafood since I’m not a fan of it haha), and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the time and effort you put into this. It has truly inspired me to think outside of the box! You make it seem easy and I can’t wait for your book to be released!!
    Take care,

    -Judi

There’s not supposed to be any dairy in Paleo, but you use butter in a number of recipes. Why is that?
And the third bookstore you list above is called “Borders” (not Boarders)… 🙂

      Hi Baska,
Your post has reminded me that I really need to get my FAQ’s page up. Anyway, if you have any sort of autoimmunity issues, I do not recommend using butter. However, if you use grass fed organic butter now and then, most folks do not have a problem with it since butter is primarily fat and does not contain nearly the amount of milk solids, as well, milk or other dairy products. Clarified butter is even better since the process of clarifying butter helps to remove most of the remaining milk solids. If you choose to avoid butter altogether, I would recommend substituting coconut oil for any of my recipes in which you find that I do use butter. Thanks for noticing my typo for Borders. I fixed it! : )

      Hi Becky,
First – simply get the oatmeal out of the house!! A good substitute would be hot cereal made with ground almonds. Toss in a blender or food processor about a cup of almonds, half an apple, 1/2 a cup of water and some cinnamon. Grind it all up until smooth. Bring to a boil on the stove top and simmer for about 5-7 minutes. Make sure you also have some protein with your hot cereal! I hope that helps your craving! : )

I have never commented before on your blog but have been following it for many months now and most nights feed my family one of your recipes! I just wanted to congratulate you on your book and tell you thank you for all the awesome meals that I have been able to feed my family thanks to you! You have a true gift for cooking and I am excited to see your book come out and encourage more people to not just eat paleo but encourage their family and children to do the same. My daughter is three and eats what we eat! Thank you for all your recipes and encouragement. Congratulations!

Butter would be counted as a fat not dairy. It always was on Weight Watchers. and Atkins — heavy cream would be the same.

      Hi Maria,
I have not yet heard from my publisher if there will be a kindle edition. I think if enough people request it, we can make it happen! I’ll keep everyone posted!

    Sarah,

Got addicted to CF three months ago as a vegetarian. I would only eat carbs, tons of veggies, fruit, legumes every day, fish once every two weeks and an egg maybe once or twice a week (complete opposite of paleo). So when I researched the paleo diet and decided to give it a shot I had no idea what to cook. I’ve always considered myself a good cook but when it came to meat I had lost everything I used to know. Thanks so much for all the great recipe ideas and techniques. I’ve been fully paleo for almost 2 months and haven’t looked back! I check your site daily and wouldn’t have been able to get through the “hard times” without you. Thanks again!

Congratulations!!! I’m putting it on my Amazon wishlist as we speak. Love the cover photo, though one thing sorta struck me about it… please tell me they didn’t intentionally put Jaden in that spot to block out that funky tattoo on your arm? 😉

Hey Claudia!! Lol!! I don’t think that was the reason they picked that photo…. We took about 10 million pics and that one just worked the best. There will be a ton of photos in the book that show even more of my funky tattoos… Unless they photo shop them all out and don’t tell me! Ha ha!! Thanks Claudia!! : )
