A Weekend of Rest

The book is off to print and I am going to take a few days to gather myself, sleep, play, and hang out with my family.  I’ll be back to work on Tuesday so please continue to post comments and submit podcast questions and I’ll catch up with you all in a few days. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your continued support!

Sarah, when is the estimated release date of your book. Hope it is closer to March, as you mentioned once, than the June 11 quoted by Amazon. Looking forward to it.

Hi Sarah, Huge fan of your cooking, so much inspiration. Any chance you’ll be putting this out as an ebook or pdf as well? I’d buy that in a heartbeat for my ipad! —saving trees and all 😉

Hi Sarah, it’s Stacy. I have been writing you on the It’s too Hard post. I just wanted to tell you I am starting the WHOLE30 again tomorrow with two friends. I wanted to tell you because listening to your podcasts and all of your readings have really inspired me. I have been looking for locally grown produce and meats. I watched Food Inc. and am totally disgusted with how food is made. I can do it!

  • Im posting this for all the mamas out there that
1 month ago by sarah_fragoso I’m posting this for all the mamas out there that might also be having a rough week; let’s hold each other up and remember just how awesome we all are despite how really freaking hard it can be to parent and parent well and allow time take care of ourselves in the middle of the madness. Being a mom - it’s the most rewarding job of all and yes, it’s so so darn hard - but all moms should have a daily dose of support and lots of love and compassion for each other and for ourselves, every single day.

4 weeks ago by sarah_fragoso This is my mantra. Every day. That’s it. All we’ve got. I have to remind myself a lot - but with practice it becomes easier to slow it way down and fall back into what we call Full Engagement Living. ••• So much of our stuff that we emphasize in our lives as URGENT simply won’t matter when we are sitting in our rockers looking back on our lives so instead of STRESS CRAZY HOLY GUACAMOLE HURRY UP DARN KIDS I AM LATE AND THIS ALL SUCKS - we have got to show up, slow down, and just be. here.
  • Our relationship with food is so out of whack because
3 weeks ago by sarah_fragoso Our relationship with food is so out of whack because nobody has ever really helped us individualize and determine what works for us – instead we follow diets, do nutrition challenges, kill ourselves in the gym in order to feel ok about the calories we put in our bodies, but we rarely stop and ask ourselves. IS THIS WORKING??? Instead, we just keep on punishing. >>> Food should be nourishment, plain and simple, but we don’t know how the hell to get there because for most of us for most of our lives, well we’ve been simply trying to figure

3 weeks ago by sarah_fragoso Oh be still my beating heart. Breakfast. So good. Baked salmon over sautéed cauliflower and baby spinach and a side of  @bubbiespickles  sauerkraut. •••• Sooooo the picture is pretty and the food was yummy BUT behind the scenes was not so pretty. I let myself get too hungry and I was a hot mess making this meal - however - instead of eating a banana (which I really wanted) or granola (which I really really REALLY wanted) I decided to turn my crashing blood sugar train around that reared it’s ugly head thanks to not a lot of sleep and

2 weeks ago by sarah_fragoso Our 5th Pillar - Be Who You Are. We get so disconnected from ourselves simply by trying to do it all, and by trying to be “good”. Good mom, good friend, good wife, good dieter, good exerciser, good good good until we want to DIE!!!! ••••• So how about being real. Being you. Raw. Authentic. Honest. Vulnerable. •••• Honing in on real self care has to include being more of who we are and putting way less effort trying to fit into expectations (fake clothing)that doesn’t even belong to us. ••••• We want to help you show up to YOUR

2 weeks ago by sarah_fragoso My butts kinda kicked. It’s been a good but emotionally and physically BIG week and well, it’s not over, cuz it’s never really over.... (and that’s ok too) Today I’m teaching an online fitness class to our year long coaching group and then  @docjohnfragoso  and I are taking 6 kids to watch a basketball game - so YAY - but whew I’m tired. So before the crazy begins I’m starting my day with my fave - breakfast soup made with homemade bone broth, leftover roasted chicken, cauliflower rice and power greens sautéed in coconut oil and I seasoned my bowl

1 week ago by sarah_fragoso Are you overwhelmed, exhausted, wishing things were different, wishing that you felt better? Simply put, are you too tired to be happy? I know I’ve felt this way; in fact – that used to be my life. Wake up, rinse, cycle, and repeat, wishing that maybe things would just magically “change”. Well, not until I really got a handle on how my hormones can work with me and not against me was I able to turn things around. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t always feel FANTASTIC – but I at least know enough now to understand when I need
