Test Driving the Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook

Our family escaped from smoky Northern California for the weekend to visit with awesome contributor here at Everyday Paleo and the other half of Everyday Paleo Lifestyle & Fitness, Jason Seib and his beautiful and wonderful wife Sheryl and their three precious girls. I’m so grateful for my family and friends, and this weekend has been a great reminder that there is simply nothing better than playing, reconnecting, living, laughing, and loving. Over the last couple of days I have had my fair share of the cuddliest kid hugs, giggles, and smiles than I could hope for and that feeling of total peace and connection with loved ones really is priceless. We only have this very moment; a simple truth that I am often trying to remind myself of as we race through life.

With the whirlwind of writing and launching another book, I sometimes lose sight of being totally present in my own life; and that’s why weekends such as this one is so incredibly valuable.  In the Everyday Paleo Family Cookbook I wrote about the importance of reconnecting with the ones you love before life has passed us by only to be left with memories, but memories of what? Working too much, stressing too much, wishing that things were different too much?  No thank you.  That’s not what I want for my own life and it’s not want I want for yours.

I know that sounds pretty heavy, but it’s real.  It’s real life, with real people, real kiddos, real relationships and living a healthy lifestyle is not only about what kind of foods you eat or what kind of exercise you do. That’s why I wrote the Family Cookbook.  It’s not just recipes for food but recipes for real life and a philosophy focused on how to live the fullest life possible and in just two short days the new book will be released for all of you to enjoy!

Below are some pictures of our weekend, including cooking right out of the Family Cookbook; Mexican Beef Skewers with Chipotle Cream & Cilantro Pesto and Poblano Roasted Sweet Potatoes!

Also, a few folks at Jason’s gym, Clackamas Physical Conditioning, received advanced copies of the new book so you’ll see some pics of that fun afternoon as well.

Much love to all of you, a huge thank you to Jason & Sheryl for welcoming us into their home, and thanks to all of my amazing readers for your continued support. YOU are why I keep on trucking so please accept my deepest gratitude, and as always, Enjoy!

      Hi Stacy,
Yes, they are all completely different recipes. The only two duplicates you will find are the mayonaise and chicken broth, otherwise, it’s a brand new book!
